Information for Parents

Having your child charged with a delinquent offense is stressful—not just for your child but for you as the parent. We understand the toll it can take on everyday activities.

Your child is entitled to have an attorney represent them if they must go to court on an allegation of delinquency in Juvenile Court. The paperwork you have been given should have the name and contact information for their attorney. It is important that your child contact their attorney as soon as possible, before discussing the case with anyone else.

As a parent, you can support your child by helping them stay in contact with their attorney, attend court on time, and follow any conditions set by the court.
