About the event
Join us to discuss concerns, obstacles, and new practices when it comes to defending youth charged with serious offenses.Â
We are proud to be able to provide this training free of cost to defenders by the generosity of The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. OJJDP is an office of the United States Department of Justice and a component of the Office of Justice Programs. OJD 2023 Youth Defender Forums: Defending Youth Charged with Violent Offenses trainings are funded by grant number 15PJDP-21-GG-02750-JIDX.
FYI:
- CLE CREDITS: 5 hours of CLE credit: 4 hours of general credit and 1 hour of ethics credit.
- COST: The cost of the CLE will be covered by OJD.
- LUNCH: Lunch will be provided at no cost to the attendees. You'll be able to provide dietary restriction details in the event registration form.Â
- FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Scholarship funds are available to help defenders offset the cost of attending the Forums. We understand that taking a day away from private practice isn't free. Please reach out to us if we can assist you in offsetting the cost of attending. We really would like to see you there! 😊
